4th Fridays 2019


Downtown Tryon will continue to buzz with activity and excitement, as businesses prepare for the next year with a calendar full of Fourth Friday events, representatives said.

Fourth Fridays have been successful nights for downtown businesses, providing great fun for locals and visitors and a boost in sales for businesses.

Visitors can save the date for the upcoming Fourth Fridays.

Friday, Jan. 25 — Winter Luau: Beat the winter blues with a January luau! Visitors can wear their Hawaiian shirts and hula skirts.

Friday, Feb. 22 — Chocolate Stroll: Celebrate Valentine’s Day all February with chocolates galore.

Friday, March 22 — Girls Night Out: Visitors can spend a night out with their girlfriends with treats and specials for a fun “GNO!”

Friday, April 26 — Guy’s Night Out : March was the Girl’s Night, so it will be guys’ turn for April! Guys can enjoy treats and specials, too!

Friday, May 24 — National Scavenger Hunt Day: Visitors may find out something new and fun downtown with a special scavenger hunt!

Friday, June 28 — School’s Out for Summer: Visitors can celebrate summertime in downtown with fun and games for all ages.

Friday, July 26 — Sip ‘n’ Stroll: Enjoy some sipping and shopping downtown. This event will have a small fee to help raise money for future Fourth Fridays!

Friday, Aug. 23 — Back to School: One last Friday night out in downtown Tryon before school starts. Enjoy fun and games for the whole family.

Friday, Sept. 27 — Roaring ‘20s: Visitors can reminisce the days of Gatsby downtown by dressing up in their favorite styles from the ‘20s.

Friday, Oct. 25 — Halloween Hootenany: On Oct. 31, the town will have its annual Halloween Stroll, but the Friday before can be a chance for the grown-ups to dress up in their spookiest costumes for a night on the town!

Friday, Nov. 22 – BLACK FRIDAY – do your holiday shopping locally instead of big box stores!

TDDA works to revitalize and preserve downtown Tryon through economic development, quality design and preserving the historic nature of downtown, and promotion of downtown, through partnerships with the Polk County Community Foundation, businesses, local government and governing boards and more.
